Hi, I’m Adam — the photographer behind AJ Photography.
I grew up in Seaham, a small seaside town in the North East of England, and first picked up a camera in 2014. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. I began shooting portraits regularly, collaborating with local creatives and brands, and developing my style behind the camera.
In 2017, I started working as a second shooter for an established wedding photographer. That experience taught me the fast-paced world of weddings from the inside — capturing real moments as they unfold and learning how to tell the story of a wedding day through photographs.
Since then, I’ve photographed over 200 weddings across the North East, from intimate celebrations to full-day events with hundreds of guests. My style is natural and relaxed, focusing on real moments with a documentary approach, enhanced by a touch of portrait, beauty, and fashion photography. I want couples to enjoy their day while I document it honestly — the laughter, emotion, and small moments that make every wedding unique.
For me, photography is always about people and stories. There’s nothing better than capturing memories that couples will treasure for a lifetime.
Adam is an amazing photographer with an eye for capturing the perfect shot and details. He’s so down to earth and made my husband and I feel so at ease on our pre-shoot and our wedding day. Couldn’t thank Adam enough for capturing our day on 19th May! From meeting him before the wedding he made us feel so comfortable and relaxed and made sure we had everything together that we wanted for the day. From arriving in the morning to be with myself and my family and bridesmaids to the venue with Jordan and everyone else in our wedding he was a dream to work with! He made sure everything on our list was ticked off and more!

We had Adam as our photographer for our wedding day, he was amazing and so thorough made sure we got all the pics we needed and more, we received the photos back promptly, my husband felt so at ease with him as he normally hates photos being taken. He listened to exactly what we wanted, he knew the area well so new exactly where we would get good scenic photos.
